Things have been a little quiet around MarkTroneville this winter. The holidays have come and gone and we are knee deep in 2013 already! I put out a little video to “Embrace The Rain” on Youtube in December, but it didn’t quite take off. The timing was probably really bad since it was right before the holidays. If you would like to check it out, here is the link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ADOOd4LxW6k
I have also been getting my studio in order. I do have a new track in the works, called “World Party”. I hope to release it this month (March 2013). I had an idea for a video for the song, but likely I will release a song video for the time being.
I had some big aspirations for 2013, but circumstances have forced me to scale back a bit. I would like to do a lot more with videos and I hope to get some stuff out this year. It looks like the summer will be the target. I will be in Missouri for four months, which will set me back.
Music Video – Embrace The Rain
I mentioned the video to “Embrace The Rain” in the previous section and I’ll give you a little background. The video is home made by me. It isn’t a big scale production by any means. I had been working on the video on and off for about a year. The first scene I shot was the water fight scene with the girls. That location was in the park at Iberia Missouri. As my luck would have it, it was completely sunny that day. I tried to hide the cheerful weather, but if you look closely it’s probably noticeable. It was a fun shoot because there was a massive water fight! It’s difficult to tell in the video, but those girls went all out and were completely soaked. Later, the water fight devolved into a mud fight. They were all covered in mud, and after it was over they had to be hosed down.
The second scene shot was the one with the two little girls, Taylor Cooper and Haley Leehy, on the porch. They were both very sweet and enjoyed themselves. I used my father’s house in Benton, Illinois.
The last main sequence was shot in Florida. This is the only section of the three where it was actually raining. Meghann and Mackenzie Hogue put on nice dresses and got them all wet by splashing in the rain. My singing shots were also done in Florida with the help of my brother, Brad.
I’m thankful to everyone that helped out on the video. As of now, it doesn’t have very many hits, but if you want to watch, here is the link again: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ADOOd4LxW6k
